Phone Call Changed Woman's Life

I first came to know Birth Choice in 1984.  At the time I was a 16- year- old junior in high school who just discovered she was pregnant.

For some reason I phoned Birth Choice.

When I arrived at the Birth Choice office, I felt as low as any person could.  I knew that my only alternative was abortion, that any other option would leave me homeless and on welfare for the rest of my life.  By the time we finished talking, a complete stranger managed to convince me that I could do anything I set my mind to.  That any decision I made, Birth Choice would stand behind me 100 percent.  I was so influenced by our conversation that I truly believed that everyone affiliated with that organization genuinely cared about my unborn baby and me. After that meeting and careful consideration, I decided to have the baby.

I thank God everyday for that phone call.

I am now 38 years old and live in Alaska with my husband, my two children are grown and on their own.  I am the administrative director of a destination marketing organization and my husband is an Air Traffic Controller with the FAA.  I am happy with the person I have become.  I am equally happy knowing where I have been, making me appreciate life all the more.  I view myself as a success story, knowing that my achievements are tiny footsteps in the sand that lead directly to an organization that has made a profound difference in my  life —Birth Choice.
