Birth Choice: By the Numbers

In 2005 the Birth Choice offices in the Oklahoma City area received more than 8,000 phone calls from women wanting information about the services provided by the organization. Of those calls, more than 1,300 women made appointments to visit with volunteers at Birth Choice about their pregnancy. The south Oklahoma City office logged the most phone calls with 3,921, while the Bethany office had the most office appointments with 583 women walking inside. Thanks to a grant from Focus on the Family the number of ultra sounds will be tracked in the future. The ultra sound machines are operating at the south Oklahoma City, Norman and Edmond offices of Birth Choice. Outside of the Oklahoma City area, Birth Choice offices are found in El Reno, Guthrie, Lawton, Ponca City, Stillwater and Nowata.

The Oklahoma City offices provided baby clothes to close to 2,000 infants and formula was given to 1,257 mothers. More than 500 women received maternity clothes from Birth Choice in the Oklahoma City area and more than 2,200 pregnancy tests were handed out.

These are just a few of the services provided by Birth Choice of Oklahoma, Inc. and these numbers reflect only the Oklahoma City area.
