Sharing the Light

Before you decide how much to share through the Archdiocesan Annual Appeal, please pray over these three questions:

How much is the Lord asking you to share in love and justice?

Jesus gave us one guideline: "Share from your substance, not just your surplus." That is, don't let sharing be the last use of your treasure.

Ask God what is right for you. There is no magic number - one size does not fit all.

What gift willfully reflect your thanks to God for all the gifts you have received?

All we are and all we have are God's gifts to us.  God cannot be outdone in generosity. Let your gift be a measure of your gratitude.

What is your share of responsibility for the mission of the Church?

As members, we all are responsible (in pro-portion to our means) to provide the resources the Church needs to carry out its mission of bringing Christ to the world.

When you share your gifts, you make the Church and our world more like what God wants them to be. Your sharing is right when it makes you joyful about how you have responded to the Lord's call. We appreciate every gift.

If your gift has remained at the same level for the last three years while your circumstances have improved, please consider a step up to a higher level of sharing. Needs do increase each year.

Thank you for all you do to help share Good News and do Good Works through the Church.
