Archbishop Calls For Prayer and Support for Victims Of Historic Disaster My dear Catholic People: The major earthquake and the resulting tidal waves in southeast Asia have caused an historic disaster. We, the Catholic people of Oklahoma, must respond with faith and support. Therefore, I call upon all people of our Archdiocese to join together in the following: Every parish should have special prayers and Masses offered for the repose of the souls of those who died in the disaster and for the millions of refugees and victims who survived In every church of our Archdiocese, a special second collection is to be taken up today and next weekend. All contributions collected during these two weekends will be used to help in this humanitarian effort through Catholic Relief Services (CRS).
