Centennial Prayer: Diocese Of Oklahoma

“Seeds of Faith, Works of Love, Harvest of Hope”

Loving God,
You have called us to follow Your Son,
Who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Your Spirit has formed us into the Church,
the Body of Christ.

Many years ago, You blessed this red land,
which we call home,
by planting the seeds of faith.

While our ancestors toiled,
the Catholic faith took root
and, a century ago,
the Diocese of Oklahoma was created.

Today, as Your Church continues to grow,
may our works of love
bring forth a harvest of hope.

As we celebrate the one hundredth anniversary of our diocese,
continue to form us into the image of Your Son,
so that future generations may come to know You,
to love You, to serve You,
and to be rewarded with the vision of Your Glory.

We ask this in the Name of Your Son,
our Lord Jesus Christ,
Who lives and reigns with You,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, forever and ever.
