The Good News...
...The
Word Becomes Flesh!
May you enjoy a most blessed Christmas!
May Christ’s love enter your hearts and grant you peace.
In just a few days, we will celebrate
the birthday of Jesus. In the great feast of
Christmas we acknowledge God’s goodness and love in sending
His Son Jesus to our world to be our Lord and Savior.
In the Mystery of the Incarnation, God
became Man! God literally accepted our human flesh and blood
as His own. He became one of us in all things but sin.
As God and Man, Jesus lived among us.
He suffered and died for us. He rose from the dead
and redeemed us from the death of sin.
Through this redemption from sin and
death, we now have a new opportunity to receive and respond
to the presence of Jesus among us.
He is no longer distant or inaccessible.
Jesus is present to us as He offers us that great gift of
Christmas — for the Word was made Flesh and dwelt among
us.
“Do not be afraid. It is I,” Jesus says.
“Take My Flesh and eat It. Take My Blood and drink
It and you shall have life everlasting.”
Dear people of God, how blessed we are
to have Jesus with us! To be able to receive Him in Holy
Communion! To be forgiven and healed and nurtured and strengthened
by Him Who is Lord and God, Savior and Redeemer!
May the celebration of Christmas this
year enable each of us to respond with love and with joy
to the Lord God Almighty. May this Christmas experience
be a prelude for us to life everlasting in heaven because
God is truly with us!
