Pledge of Resistance

 The Pledge of Resistance of House Bill 1804 was signed by Archbishop Beltran as well as the
Council of Priest for the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City and sent to
Governor Brad Henry October 26, 2007.

      

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City is speaking out in response to  HB 1804, the law known as Oklahoma’s sweeping immigration reform measure. The law takes effect Nov. 1. Richard Klinge, director of Parish Outreach, Advocacy and Legal Services for Catholic Charities and Margie Solis, director of the Immigration Assistance Program for Catholic Charities have recorded this pod cast in an effort to provide information and clear up confusion the law has caused throughout the state.
