Ministry Program |
Fall 2008 Class Schedule
The Pastoral Ministry Program is designed to provide solid grounding in theology to
empower the People of God in Oklahoma as they become increasingly responsible for the life
and ministry of the church: to equip them for filling the roles to which they are called
by Baptism and which the exigencies of the times press upon us.
Affiliated with Newman University of Wichita, KS,
the Archdiocesan Pastoral Ministry Program offers as in depth, academic curriculum of
sound Scripture and contemporary theology, integrated with pastoral perspective and skills
directed toward maintaining growth and identity as Christians and becoming more
effectively involved in service roles for the Church.

The "Cohort" Model of Education Students and faculty in the MAPM program use a "cohort" model of
learning. This model offers a stable community in which students study and grow together
throughout the 3 1/2 year program. Each course is scheduled on three weekends over a
period of two months.

theological reflection in ways that lead to personal, communal, and social renewal. To enable students to demonstrate the skills and self-awareness to minister as public
